Residents across District A want a strong economy, a sound infrastructure, and safe neighborhoods. The issues our community is facing really boil down to three things: affordability, accessibility, and accountability. That’s what I’ll focus on as the next City Council Member from District A.
Affordability

- Growing our economy while keeping District A an affordable place to live—by protecting housing market values and developing economic incentives to bring businesses to our area
- Providing improved City services to all residents by listening to neighborhood concerns
- Keeping taxes low and ensuring fiscal responsibility at City Hall by maintaining a watchful eye on how tax dollars are spent
Accessibility
- Fixing District A’s broken drainage and flood-control system by finding creative solutions to real problems – like purchasing the now-closed Inwood Forest Golf & Country Club for water detention and recreation
- Improving our out-dated infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and sidewalks
- Expanding mass transit, including light and heavy rail, and using it to help spur redevelopment in areas like the Antoine Corridor and Hempstead Highway.
Accountability
- Devoting time and energy to create a constituent-centered City Council office by listening to concerns of residents in every corner of District A
- Monitoring every single tax dollar spent by the City, and ensuring that they are spent on the services we need – like putting more police on the street
- Holding elected officials accountable to the highest ethical standards
